Fluke 719Pro Electric Pressure Calibrator

The Fluke 719Pro is a precision electric pressure calibrator designed for field calibration of pressure transmitters, pressure switches and pressure gauges. Its integrated electric pump allows technicians to generate test pressure without relying on a separate external pressure source, while the built-in loop calibrator provides electrical signal testing in the same instrument.

Integrated Electric Pump for One-Handed Calibration

One of the defining features of the Fluke 719Pro is its integrated electric pressure pump.

Instead of manually generating pressure with a hand pump, technicians can use the electric pump to reach the required test pressure, while the precision vernier provides fine pressure adjustment.

The programmable pump limit also allows a target pressure to be set, helping prevent unintended over-pressurization during calibration.

This makes the 719Pro particularly useful for repetitive pressure calibration work where speed and consistent pressure generation are important.

High-Accuracy Pressure Measurement

The 719Pro is available in three internal pressure ranges:

  • 719Pro-30G: -12 to 30 psi / -0.8 to 2 bar

  • 719Pro-150G: -12 to 150 psi / -0.8 to 10 bar

  • 719Pro-300G: -12 to 300 psi / -0.8 to 20 bar

  • Pressure accuracy: ±0.025% of full scale, 6 months

  • Pressure accuracy: ±0.035% of full scale, 1 year

  • Dry air and non-corrosive gas only

  • Precision pressure adjustment vernier

The 30G version provides 0.001 psi / 0.0001 bar resolution, while the 150G and 300G versions provide 0.01 psi / 0.001 bar resolution.

Built-In mA Loop Calibrator

The Fluke 719Pro is more than a pressure calibrator. It includes a full-function loop calibrator capable of measuring, sourcing and simulating 0–24 mA.

Key electrical specifications include:

  • mA range: 0–24 mA DC

  • Resolution: 0.001 mA

  • Accuracy: ±0.015% of reading ±2 counts

  • mA source load: up to 1000 Ω

  • mA simulation: up to 26 V DC

  • Loop power: 24 V DC

  • Loop supply capability: 24 mA at 24 V

This allows the 719Pro to test both the pressure input and electrical output of a pressure transmitter.

Pressure Transmitter Calibration

A typical pressure transmitter calibration procedure can be performed directly with the 719Pro:

Generate pressure → Measure reference pressure → Measure transmitter mA output → Compare the response

The large backlit display can show three parameters simultaneously:

  • Pressure measurement

  • Sourced, simulated or measured mA

  • Temperature when an optional RTD probe is connected

This makes it easier to evaluate transmitter performance at multiple calibration points without switching between separate instruments.

Pressure Switch Testing

The Fluke 719Pro includes a dedicated pressure switch test function.

This allows technicians to determine switch operating behavior during increasing and decreasing pressure conditions, making it suitable for pressure switch verification during commissioning and maintenance.

Typical applications include:

  • Pressure switch set-point verification

  • Reset-point testing

  • Process protection testing

  • Maintenance and commissioning

Extended Pressure Measurement

When the internal pressure range is not sufficient, the 719Pro can be connected to compatible Fluke 750P pressure modules.

Fluke specifies compatibility with 29 different 750P pressure modules, allowing the pressure measurement range to be extended significantly beyond the internal 30, 150 and 300 psi sensors.

This makes the 719Pro more flexible for facilities where multiple pressure ranges need to be covered.

Optional Precision Temperature Measurement

The Fluke 719Pro can also measure temperature using an optional Pt100 RTD probe.

The specified temperature measurement range is:

  • -50 to +150 °C

  • Resolution: 0.01 °C

  • Accuracy: ±0.1 °C

  • Combined uncertainty with the optional 720 RTD probe: ±0.25 °C

This allows technicians to consider temperature effects during precision pressure calibration.

Fluid Protection for the Internal Pump

Pressure calibration can expose pump mechanisms to moisture or process fluids. The 719Pro therefore incorporates pump cleanout ports and includes a fluid trap to reduce the risk of pump damage from moisture or fluid contamination.

This is particularly useful when the calibrator is used in field environments where contamination of the pressure source is a concern.

Fluke 719Pro vs. Fluke 718Ex

The Fluke 718Ex is primarily designed around intrinsically safe pressure calibration for hazardous areas, while the 719Pro focuses on high-accuracy electric pressure generation and multifunction pressure calibration.

In simple terms:

Fluke 718Ex → Intrinsically safe pressure calibration

Fluke 719Pro → High-accuracy electric pressure calibration

The 719Pro is the stronger choice when electric pressure generation, higher precision and integrated mA calibration are the main requirements. For hazardous-area applications, the appropriate Ex-certified instrument must be selected according to the site's certification requirements.

Fluke 719Pro vs. Fluke 719

The 719Pro builds on the standard 719 platform with a stronger emphasis on precision calibration and multifunction testing.

The 719Pro provides:

  • Higher 0.025% FS pressure accuracy

  • mA measurement, sourcing and simulation

  • 24 V loop power

  • Optional RTD temperature measurement

  • Compatibility with 750P pressure modules

  • Programmable pump limits

  • Fluid trap and pump cleanout features

This makes it better suited to reference-class pressure transmitter calibration and more demanding process instrumentation work.
