Endress+Hauser Proline Promass P 100 Coriolis Flowmeter
The Endress+Hauser Proline Promass P 100 is a compact Coriolis flowmeter specifically designed for hygienic and sterile applications in the life sciences industry. It combines accurate mass flow measurement with density and temperature measurement in an ultra-compact transmitter design, making it suitable for installations where process quality and available space are both critical.
Promass P 100 uses the Coriolis measuring principle, which provides direct measurement of mass flow and is largely independent of changes in fluid viscosity and density. In addition to mass flow, the instrument can measure volume flow, density, temperature, corrected volume flow, reference density and concentration, providing multiple process variables from a single measuring point.
Designed for Life Sciences and Hygienic Processes
The Promass P 100 is dedicated to applications under sterile conditions, making it particularly suitable for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other life sciences processes where hygienic design and contamination control are essential.
The wetted measuring tube is manufactured from 1.4435 (316L) stainless steel and is available with an electropolished surface. The meter conforms to important hygienic standards including ASME BPE, 3-A and EHEDG, supporting demanding sanitary process requirements.

One of the main advantages of Promass P 100 is its ultra-compact transmitter housing. The instrument provides full Coriolis measurement functionality while occupying a very small installation footprint.

High-Accuracy Multivariable Measurement
Promass P 100 provides a maximum measurement error of ±0.1% for liquid mass flow and ±0.1% for liquid volume flow. Density measurement accuracy can reach ±0.0005 g/cm³, allowing the instrument to provide reliable process information beyond simple flow measurement.
The measuring range extends from 0 to 70,000 kg/h, while nominal pipe sizes range from DN8 to DN50 (⅜ to 2"). This makes the flowmeter suitable for a broad range of small and medium-sized hygienic process lines.
Fast CIP and SIP Recovery
Promass P 100 is designed for processes requiring frequent CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilization-in-Place) procedures. Its hygienic measuring tube design supports fast recovery after cleaning and sterilization cycles, helping maintain process availability in pharmaceutical and life sciences production.
The design combines the measurement performance of a bent-tube Coriolis meter with the drainability advantages associated with a straight-tube design, providing a balance between measurement performance and hygienic process requirements.
No Inlet or Outlet Run Required
As a Coriolis flowmeter, Promass P 100 does not require conventional upstream and downstream straight pipe runs for flow conditioning. This allows more flexible installation and can help reduce the overall footprint of compact process skids and equipment.
Integrated Verification and Diagnostics
Promass P 100 features Heartbeat Technology, providing integrated verification and diagnostic functions. The transmitter also includes an integrated web server, allowing local operation and access to device information without requiring additional configuration software or hardware.
The transmitter is available with a local display, while its robust housing provides a high level of environmental protection, supporting reliable operation in demanding hygienic process environments.
