Accurate LPG Flow Measurement

The Endress+Hauser LPGmass D8EB is a Coriolis flowmeter specifically designed for measuring liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in refueling and distribution applications. It is suitable for LPG dispensing systems, truck unloading and equipment designed for LPG handling.

LPGmass D8EB is developed for applications where reliable measurement of LPG is required during vehicle refueling and truck unloading. Its application-focused design makes it suitable for system integrators, skid builders and equipment manufacturers.

High Flow Capacity

The flowmeter supports a measuring range of up to 70,000 kg/h (2,570 lb/min), making it suitable for both LPG dispensing and higher-capacity distribution applications.

High Measurement Accuracy

LPGmass D8EB provides a maximum measurement error of ±0.20% for liquid mass flow and ±0.30% for liquid volume flow, supporting reliable LPG quantity measurement.

Integrated Temperature Measurement

The instrument combines flow, density and temperature measurement in a single measuring device. Integrated temperature measurement enables the system to perform volume-related calculations directly at the measurement point.

On-Site Volume Correction

LPGmass D8EB supports volume flow calculation according to API Table 53, allowing LPG volume correction to be performed directly on site. This is particularly useful for refueling and distribution systems where corrected volume information is required.

Coriolis Measurement Principle

The Coriolis measuring principle provides measurement that is largely independent of physical fluid properties such as viscosity and density. This allows the instrument to provide reliable mass flow measurement without relying on conventional volumetric flow measurement methods.

Space-Saving Installation

The Coriolis design does not require conventional inlet and outlet straight pipe runs, helping reduce installation space. The compact transmitter housing also provides full functionality within a small footprint.

Robust Construction

The LPGmass D8EB is designed for demanding LPG applications and supports a medium temperature range of -50 to +125 °C. The wetted measuring tube is manufactured from 1.4539 (904L), while the process connection uses 1.4404 (316/316L).

Modbus RS485 Communication

The flowmeter supports Modbus RS485 communication for straightforward integration into LPG dispensing equipment, skids and automated measurement systems. Pre-configured devices can also simplify commissioning.
