Model Options

FCH130

The FCH130 is the standard model within the FCH100 series. It provides multivariable measurement of mass flow, volume flow, density and temperature.

For liquid measurement, ABB specifies mass and volume accuracy options of 0.4% or 0.25% of reading, with density accuracy of 10 g/l. The specified medium temperature range is -50 to 160 °C.

FCH150

The FCH150 adds advanced software functions for applications requiring concentration calculations and filling control.

Depending on configuration, FCH150 provides:

• DensiMass for high-accuracy concentration measurement
• Watercut calculation
• Net-oil calculation
• Net-mass and net-volume measurement
• FillMass filling software
• Integrated pre-counter
• Overfill and underfill correction
• Contact output for valve control

Actual measuring performance depends on the selected model, process conditions and configuration.

Suitable Applications

Food and Beverage Processing
The hygienic construction and EHEDG-certified cleanability make the FCH100 suitable for sanitary process environments where cleanability and wetted-material quality are important.

Filling Applications
The FCH100 is designed for high-speed measurement in filling systems. FCH150 adds FillMass software with pre-counter and overfill/underfill correction functions.

Dosing and Batch Processes
The Coriolis measurement principle provides direct mass-flow measurement, while FCH150 provides additional functions for filling and batch-oriented applications.

Hygienic Process Systems
Polished 316L wetted materials and EHEDG certification support applications where hygienic design is an important equipment-selection requirement.

Compact System Integration
The compact construction and absence of conventional straight-pipe requirements make the FCH100 suitable for packaged equipment and installations with limited space.

Selection Notes

1. Choose FCH130 or FCH150 based on the required functions.
FCH130 is suitable for standard mass, volume, density and temperature measurement. FCH150 should be considered when concentration, watercut, net-oil or filling functions are required.

2. Select the nominal size according to the actual process flow rate.
The FCH100 is available in DN25, DN50 and DN80 versions. The appropriate size should be selected according to the actual operating flow range rather than simply matching the existing pipe size.

3. Confirm hygienic requirements.
The FCH100 is specifically designed as a hygienic series with EHEDG certification and polished wetted materials. If the application has additional sanitary standards or connection requirements, these should be confirmed during quotation.

4. Confirm the process medium and temperature.
The FCH130 is specified for medium temperatures from -50 to 160 °C, while FCH150 is specified from -50 to 205 °C. The applicable range depends on the selected model and configuration.

5. Confirm hazardous-area requirements.
ATEX and cFMus approvals are available for applicable configurations. The exact certification should be checked against the installation area and selected device configuration.
