Fluke 719 Electric Pressure Calibrator

The Fluke 719 is an electric pressure calibrator designed to simplify pressure calibration in process instrumentation applications. Unlike conventional hand-pump calibrators, its integrated electric pump allows technicians to generate test pressure with one hand, reducing manual effort and making repeated calibration tasks more efficient.

Built-In Electric Pump for One-Handed Calibration

The integrated electric pump is one of the main advantages of the Fluke 719. Users can generate pressure directly from the instrument without carrying a separate manual pressure pump.

The programmable pump limit can also be set to a target pressure, helping prevent accidental over-pressurization during transmitter and switch testing. A variable-rate bleed valve provides controlled pressure release and adjustment.

High-Accuracy Pressure Measurement

The Fluke 719 provides 0.025% of range accuracy for six months, with 0.035% of range accuracy for one year.

Two pressure models are available:

  • Fluke 719 30G: -12 to 30 psi / -850 mbar to 2.4 bar

  • Fluke 719 100G: -12 to 100 psi / -850 mbar to 8 bar

  • 30G resolution: 0.001 psi / 0.1 mbar

  • 100G resolution: 0.01 psi / 1 mbar

  • Pressure accuracy: 0.025% of range for 6 months

  • Long-term accuracy: 0.035% of range for 1 year

Integrated mA Testing and 24 V Loop Power

The Fluke 719 is not limited to pressure measurement. It can also measure and source 0–24 mA signals, allowing technicians to test the electrical output of pressure transmitters and troubleshoot process loops.

Key electrical functions include:

  • 0–24 mA measurement/source

  • 0.001 mA resolution

  • 0.015% reading + 2 counts accuracy

  • Up to 1000 Ω load

  • 750 Ω maximum load in HART mode

  • 24 V DC loop supply

  • mA simulation for 4–20 mA loop troubleshooting

Pressure Transmitter and Pressure Switch Calibration

The Fluke 719 is particularly suitable for calibration and troubleshooting of:

  • Pressure transmitters

  • Differential pressure transmitters

  • Pressure switches

  • I/P converters

  • Valve positioners

  • 4–20 mA pressure loops

  • Process control instrumentation

Its pressure switch test function makes it possible to determine switch activation and reset points during maintenance and calibration.

Extended Pressure Measurement

For applications requiring pressure ranges beyond the internal sensor, the Fluke 719 supports Fluke 750P series pressure modules, providing an extended measurement solution while keeping the calibrator compact and portable. Fluke states that the 719 can be used with 750P modules across a broad range of pressure applications.

Pump Protection and Field Reliability

The 719 incorporates a pump cleanout port designed to reduce failures caused by moisture and process fluid contamination. The pump is rated for approximately 5,000 cycles between rebuilds and 20,000 calibration cycles total according to Fluke's current specifications.

Use the integrated pump and switch test function to determine pressure switch activation and reset points.

I/P and Valve Testing

Source or simulate mA signals while applying controlled pressure to test I/P converters and valve positioners.

Process Loop Troubleshooting

Use the 0–24 mA functions and 24 V loop supply to troubleshoot pressure transmitter loops without carrying a separate loop calibrator.

Fluke 719 vs Fluke 719Pro

The two models are related but intended for different levels of calibration work.

  • Fluke 719: compact electric pressure calibrator with 30 psi and 100 psi models.

  • Fluke 719Pro: higher-performance electric pressure calibrator with 30 psi, 150 psi and 300 psi ranges and additional temperature/measurement capabilities.

  • 719: ideal for routine pressure transmitter, switch and I/P calibration.

  • 719Pro: better suited to more demanding, higher-range and higher-precision process calibration applications.

For users who primarily need low-to-medium pressure calibration with an integrated electric pump, the Fluke 719 provides a simpler and more focused solution.
