Fluke 724 Temperature Calibrator

The Fluke 724 Temperature Calibrator is designed for technicians who need to test and calibrate a wide range of temperature sensors and transmitters in the field.

Unlike a basic thermometer that only measures temperature, the Fluke 724 can both measure and source/simulate temperature signals. It also measures 4–20 mA and can provide 24 V loop power, allowing temperature sensors and transmitters to be tested with a single instrument.

Fast Temperature Transmitter Testing

The Fluke 724 provides 25% and 100% step functions, as well as slow ramp, fast ramp, auto-step and auto-ramp functions.

These functions are useful for checking transmitter linearity and response across the measurement range.

For example, a technician can step a simulated temperature transmitter input through:

0% → 25% → 50% → 75% → 100%

and observe the corresponding 4–20 mA output.

This provides a faster way to identify calibration errors, non-linearity or abnormal transmitter response.
