The Fluke 1664 FC Multifunction Installation Tester is designed to simplify electrical installation verification by combining multiple safety and performance tests in a single handheld instrument. It is suitable for testing new installations, periodic inspections, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical distribution systems.

The tester provides a comprehensive range of installation measurements, including insulation resistance, continuity, loop and line impedance, RCD trip current and trip time, earth resistance, phase sequence, AC/DC voltage, and prospective fault or short-circuit current. Its 50 V to 1000 V insulation test range supports a wide variety of electrical installation requirements.

One of the key advantages of the Fluke 1664 FC is its Auto Test function, which can perform up to seven installation tests in a single sequence. This reduces the number of manual connections required and helps improve testing efficiency while reducing the possibility of operator error.

The Insulation PreTest function provides an additional layer of protection during insulation testing. If the tester detects an appliance connected to the system under test, it stops the insulation test and provides a visual warning, helping prevent potentially costly damage to connected equipment.

For modern electrical infrastructure, the Fluke 1664 FC also supports RCD Type A-EV and RDC-DD testing for EV charging stations, including smooth DC test currents used to evaluate 6 mA DC protection devices in accordance with IEC 62955.
